I wouldn't miss this for the world! Being I haven't flown in over 12 years, and the temperature here today in Belleair Beach Florida is supposed to be around 80 degrees, you know then how much this means if I am actually getting on an airplane and heading to NJ. I have been checking those temps! BRRR. But we will be warmed with the spirit of Bud Beavers and singing again with our former classmates.
Georgann McConnell - Class of 1974 (Messiah soloist 1972)

Wow, hi, and many thanks for your extended (and time-consuming, I am sure!) outreach - I'm back in school full-time here in city at CUNY/John Jay, forensic psych, and unfortunately have finals through the 18th, plus my job$ (listening to audio of medical conferences, not music!), so I won't be attending. Should there be a major snowstorm on the 15th, please reschedule for after the 18th and I'm there! Actually I'd most likely hide in the back row...I was always in awe of everyone with whom I sang, and for those from my class '80 back through '75 and earlier who made such an impact on my appreciation for musical bliss, I was jaw-struck and star-struck just listening to the pristine quality voices surrounding me...Thank you! And please keep me on the mail/email list. LOL
PS-Next year can we hold it here in Midtown at Carnegie Hall?

I wouldn't miss seeing all of you again! It was incredible to see many of you at my dad's retirement dinner after 25-30 years. I will be traveling down to NJ from Rhode Island with my 6 year old daughter and possibly my husband, along with Grammie's (Kathryn Stroup) 95 year old patched up Messiah score in hand. I will be honoring her memory that night and maybe I'll even sing! I know she'll be there accompanying us from behind the golden gates. Safe travels and can't wait to see you all.

I WILL BE THERE! Looking forward to seeing everyone.

Hi Everyone, Welcome to Bethlehem! I'm a member of the choir at Bethlehem and wish I could participate. Alas, I had my tonsils taken out 4 weeks ago. I've been able to talk since Day One, but, I better not push it. Hmm, do you think Bill Briggs would let me switch from Alto to Tenor? (Or swap places with one? - hint: Brent can sing Alto) Hee hee.
I'm looking forward to being a spectator!

Have a very blessed Christmas and sing your hearts out! I know this will be spectacular! Please feel free to keep in touch! I can be reached by email at jerseygirl11_27@yahoo.com and would love to hear from you!
Merry Christmas and have a blessed and Happy New year.

Aside from leaving high school early (in August 1980, after my junior year) to go to Switzerland as an AFS Exchange student, which was an indescribably magical experience, Bud Beavers' choir and singing in the Messiah Concert with Diane Bauers, Sue Savage (doting Juniors on a young Freshman), Valerie Peel and many others was the hightlight of my HS years.
I felt there was a wonderful sense of cohesion betweeen us as we worked together to create something beautiful and bigger than ourselves. Thank you Mr. Beavers for haveing been and still being the light that draws us together.
...But I wish you hadn't kicked me off the soccer team :-)
At this point I am looking to see how I can be there from Seattle. I'd love to hear from anyone who will be attending or would like to say hello. My email is jimh@prepaidlegal.com

Looking forward to seeing everyone again...I was not sure if I was going to make it since I live in Florida now and lost my job back in Septemeber but as luck would have it I found a way to be there....Can't wait to see all of you and expecially Mr. Beavers...Hey Mr. B...watch out I may come packing a water gun...LOL!!

What a great opportunity for everyone to get together and especially to see Mr. Beavers again. I took what I learned in choir & theory at RHS and continued to study music and education at WVWC college. I minored in piano; sang with our college touring choir & even worked as tour manager; and served as a local church choir director. This led to being the organizer and conductor for a local multi-church community choir with orchestra for an Easter presentation of Handel's MESSIAH. I worked as a local elementary school teacher and middle school vice-principal for a total of 23 years here in West Virginia and am now medically retired mainly due to heart failure (virus attacked left ventricle and it's only pumping 10-15% of the blood instead of the normal 55-60%) and insulin-dependent type II diabetes. My wife of 15 years is a math teacher and helps keep my stress level low and my spirits high. So, at this point, I don't think I'll be able to participate in the reunion concert physically, but I will be there in spirit. Best of luck, enjoy, and keep in touch! Steve Shenuski RHS '80

Greetings to all! I regret I will not be able to attend, but I think it's a great idea. May God bless this performance and the joy that your reconnection will bring to you all. Perhaps next year? Best regards to all, especially to all the old gang at Roxbury!

I am transferring my notes to a new score because mine has pages missing from the "Amen"s...plus I don't want to miss a cue or a memory :) . The preparation has been difficult, but so much fun! That website is such a blast! Messiah karaoke. ...and I didn't even have to touch my piano? priceless! I hope you all have been having fun too. I look forward to singing with you all, and of course seeing Mr.B and having him conduct for us again. See you all there! I'm hoping for decent traveling weather...

I was so excited to hear about everyone getting together for this. I don't know how I could ever make it there. I sure would love it. I was just in the Sweet Adelines for a little while and we had a wonderful time at International Competition.
I will make it for sure, if there is another one. Sing on!!!

I loved singing the Messiah in -- what was it -- '72? '73? and I continued singing it (and other things) at Boston University. Thanks for the opportunity and the pleasures it brought. I'm still in the Boston area and other commitments mean I won't be able to attend the reunion, but I hope you have a great turnout and have as much fun this time as we did back then.
Best regards to any that remember me. I do remember some of you. It's hard for me to believe that you're still up to putting in this kind of effort, Bud. Keep on keepin' on!

Hi All,
Planning to attend 30 yr in June, No family left in NJ. I live in Southern Ca and family all went to Central Fl. Will be with you in heart and spirit. Hope to connect with as many as I can in June. Especially Jeff and Patti. Tell Brother Bud,

Hoping to be there and sing the Messiah once again. Living in NC and trying to get up to NJ may present a small problem. Will hopefully have a traveling companion. Looking forward to seeing many old faces.

So sorry to miss this - I don't arrive in NJ from San Francisco to spend the holidays with family and friends until 12/18/07.
I will be thinking of all of you and sending you my very best!
Happy Holidays,
Fae

Hi all. I can't believe I still remember most of the music! And I still have my Messiah book with notes all over it. Does anybody else have a note in "Glory to God" to "shake the little old ladies out of their pants"? I will be attending however I will probably be late if I make it at all. I have a family "Christmas" in Pennsylvania earlier that day. I hope to see you then!

Oh how I wish I was going to be free to sing with all of you. Unfortunately I will not be available due to my work schedule. Maybe next year. Hey Mr. Beavers keep up the good work and hopefully I'll see you next year.

I just heard about this today, I'll have to figure out if I can get there. I live in Mass but have to come to NJ that weekend to pick up my son from college in PA, so maybe I can work it out. I still have my score, I've used it once with a local group. Like Meg, I sing along with CDs - but unlike Meg my kids aren't impressed!
